Ryan Murphy Reveals 'A Chorus Line' Miniseries for Netflix & Several More Projects

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

In an interview with Time magazine, producer Ryan Murphy revealed a number of projects he's working on for Netflix.

Murphy left Fox last year for a huge overall deal with the company and his first show, the satire "The Politician," hitting the streaming platform on Sept. 27.

The "Pose" co-creator already announced that he's turning the queer Broadway musical "The Prom" into a Netflix movie that will star Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman. He'll also be involved with a remake of the seminal gay movie "The Boys in the Band." But speaking with Time, Murphy said he will stick to Broadway, turning the classic musical "A Chorus Line" into a 10-episode miniseries.

That's not all. Murphy is also working on a miniseries about the iconic designer Halston, who will be played by Ewan McGregor. He's also involved with a 10-episode docuseries about Andy Warhol and "A Secret Love," which will be about a real-life lesbian couple who came out in their 80s.

Murphy said he's finishing up the anticipated "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" prequel "Ratchet," which will star Sarah Paulson as the titular nurse. Additionally, a show called "Hollywood," starring Patti LuPone and Holland Taylor, will hit Netflix in May 2020 and will "look at Hollywood and the sex industry, and how absolutely everything has changed and nothing has changed."

Finally, Murphy is teaming up with longtime muse Jessica Lange (who stars in "The Politician") for another project about Hollywood icon Marlene Dietrich in Las Vegas during the early 60s.
