Watch: Jennifer Coolidge Approves of Her SNL Impression

If you missed it, "Saturday Night Live's" Chloe Fineman did a hilarious impression of Jennifer Coolidge being kooky and impressed by "Christmas stuff." It did not disappoint, and it was even a hit with the "White Lotus" star.
Coolidge took to Instagram to not only thank Fineman for an "exceptionally brilliant" impression but also to congratulate the new cast members who will now be charged with bringing the funny, after several veterans recently left.
"Wow! A massive thanks to Saturday Night Live!! and to the exceptionally brilliant impressionist @ChloeIsCrazy with your hilarious imitation!!" wrote Coolidge in a post on Sunday. "Also, congrats to the new cast members!! I know how hard it is to get on that show, I tried my ass off to be one but you actually made it!! What a feat! Happy holidays to you all!!"
Happy holidays indeed! Fineman played Coolidge being impressed by everyday holiday items, with lines such as, "Oh, look at this. A big sock full of gifts. You know, the ultimate stocking stuffer is a foot..." Then she commented that eggnog is "kinda weird," comparing it to Santa's bodily fluids.
Coolidge has been on a hot strike with her performance in HBO's "The White Lotus." The gig has opened more doors for the actor, including a spot on Netflix's "The Watcher." Not to mention her roster of iconic roles in "Legally Blonde," "American Pie, and in Christopher Guest comedies.
Austin Butler was the special guest "SNL" host last week. Coolidge said that she did indeed try out for the show in 1995 with comedy alums Will Ferrell, Chris Kattan and Cheri Oteri, but she was ultimately the only one to be rejected.
"They chose Will and Cheri and not Chris and I, and six months later they called up Chris. I was the one who got rejected. I was spared a bullet. I think of all the demons, and playing politics," said Coolidge in a LAMag interview. "The good thing was I might have become anorexic. But I probably would have self-destructed on SNL."
