Fans are calling out Jeffree Star as a "grifter" after he called the "they" pronoun "stupid" and suggested being non-binary doesn't exist in a new podcast interview.

As reported by Yahoo! Entertainment, Star is being slammed for saying that he personifies being non-binary in the past, and then later throwing the term under the bus in his interview with YouTube creator, Shane Dawson.

"That's why the conservatives like me, because I'm just real," said Star, before launching into a rant against the non-binary community.

"You're not 'they' and 'them,' you're trans, you're male, or you're female," he said to a stunned looking Dawson.

With many fans pointing out Stars embracing of "non-binary" in the past and terms such as "alien," many are now accusing Star of saying anything to make a buck.

"This is rich coming someone who constantly refers to themselves as an 'alien' in society. It's really not that hard to respect people's pronouns, but hey, anything for a little more attention that you crave so deeply, right? You're embarrassing, Jefferson," said one user.

One fan pointed out the way Star proudly showed off his "all gender" bathroom at his company's headquarters in a previous video, while others accused Star of auditioning for a Fox News position.

Speaking about the newer generation, Star declared: "I'm old school. This new, all these fuckin' thirty terms, girl, stop. Stop complicating everything. Just chill. Take a hit. Relax. And don't put words in my fuckin' mouth."

But there have been many more offensive words to come out of Star's mouth about gender pronouns, previously calling newer terms "stupid" on Logan Paul's Impulsive podcast in 2022 and slamming "pansexual" as well.

Responding to the backlash over his comments, Star said in a series of Instagram videos that he "never said" that "non-binary people don't exist," and that he was simply stating that he doesn't "agree with" the pronouns "they" and "them."

Hmmmm

Like one social media user hypothesized, Star could just be clamoring for attention to relive his glory days at the center of cultural conversations.

"its all just money and attention. the second fringe narcissists get ousted from their position of power, they always go conservative for money because they know that side will take absolutely anyone who will parrot their narrative," wrote TV/radio host and producer Stephen Byrne. "Same thing Oli London does."

They have a point!
