Camille Moran, age 83, passed away peacefully of her own accord on November 12, 2025. Camille was known for her humor, buoyant energy, and her love of the gay community. Born in Florida and raised in Michigan, she made her way to her beloved San Francisco where she lived for nearly 60 years. As a resolute volunteer for gay and trans rights, she participated fully in supporting the gay community.
She is survived by her chosen family, special friends, and those whom she loved in the Grace Cathedral Vine community, a weekly contemporary service, and her art friends and supporters at the On Lok Senior Center. Camille loved cooking for friends, creating beautiful art, and volunteering in numerous ways to support psychiatric survivors and the gay community. Camille will be truly missed.
Her celebration of life will be at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center, 1800 Market Street, San Francisco, Room 201, on Wednesday, January 7, at 2 p.m. Donations to the community center (sfcenter.org) gratefully received in her memory.
