Heartthrob Nick Jonas is the latest actor to be confirmed for Ryan Murphy's upcoming horror-comedy anthology series "Scream Queens," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The pop star, who plays a gay mixed martial arts fighter on the DirectTV series "Kingdom," will have a recurring role on the Fox show, slated to premiere this fall. "Scream Queens," which comes from "American Horror Story" and "Glee" creators Murphy and Brad Falchuk, will have 15, one-hour episodes. It's set on a college campus that's shook up after a series of murders. Just like "AHS," the series will have different settings, plots in future seasons. But for Season One, plot details, including what role Jonas will play, are not being revealed.
Jonas joins Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis as well as Lea Michele, Joe Manganiello, Keke Palmer and Abigail Breslin. But Jonas won't be the only pop star on the series: Ariana Grande will guest-star in a recurring role as well.
Production for "Scream Queens" starts in the spring.
Jonas had a big 2014 after releasing his self-titled album and the double-platinum single "Jealous," the Hollywood Reporter points out. He also rocked the world with his no-longer-a-boy photo shoots - you can read more about the 22-year-old singer's transformation by clicking here.
