Investigators Search for Man Who Set Fire at Gay Nightclub
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
Investigators in southwest Florida are trying to find a man who they say set fire to a gay nightclub.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office reports that a neighbor reported flames at the front entrance of Throb Nightclub around 9 a.m. Sunday. Sprinklers prevented the fire from spreading, but damage was estimated to be more than $10,000.
Surveillance video shows a tan-skinned man wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt and light-colored shorts walk up to the door carrying a gas can. The man starts the fire and leaves the area.
Anyone with information should call the sheriff's office or the State Fire Marshal's arson hotline at 877-662-7766.
