After announcing their new single "I'm Ready" earlier this week, Sam Smith and Demi Lovato shared the new song along with its epic music video.

Directed by Nora Frantzis and choreography from Sean Bankhead, the glittery and queer video is Olympics-inspired and finds the pop stars belting the new song in a gymnasium and swimming pool.

"I'm Ready" comes after Smith announced that they are delaying the release of their third album "To Die For," which was originally going to arrive on May 1. Smith also said they're changing the album's title.

Speaking with Apple Music's Zane Lowe Thursday, Smith offered fans updates on their upcoming music, Billboard reports.

"Music has taken a whole different shape, actually," Smith said. "It really has. It's really beautiful. It's a really interesting time. I have written a bit the last few weeks, and it's weird what comes out. It's going to be a weird time."

The Oscar winner went on to talk about their new music.

"It's 2020 ABBA, do you know what I mean?" they explained. "It almost sounds a bit musical theater at times. It feels cheesy at times. And I'm trying to own that because that is a genuine feeling that comes out sometimes in the studio and it's fun. It's really fun to go to that place."

Smith added that they're not sure if they're going to include previously released singles "Dancing with a Stranger," "How Do You Sleep," and "To Die For" on their album.

"I think might take them off and do something completely fresh and it'll be a completely new album," Smith revealed.
