Watch: HBO Max Shares Trailer for Ballroom Dancing Competition Series 'Legendary'

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

HBO Max announced its launch date Tuesday, revealing it will be made available on May 27. The new streaming service also unveiled its lineup of shows that will be ready to go, including the ballroom dancing competition series "Legendary."

Per HBO Max's YouTube description of the show:

"If you slay, you stay.... ['Legendary'] pulls from the underground ballroom community, voguing teams (aka 'houses') must compete in unbelievable balls and showcase sickening fashion in order to achieve 'legendary' status. The cast includes MC Dashaun Wesley and DJ MikeQ as well as celebrity judges Law Roach, Jameela Jamil, Leiomy Maldonado, and Megan Thee Stallion."

Jamil came under fire earlier this year when it was announced that she'd serve as a judge on "Legendary" with many urging that a trans person of color be part of the judging panel. Nevertheless, the backlash sparked "The Good Place" actor to come out as queer.
