Watch: Sam Smith Talks Poppers in New Interview with Andy Cohen

Sam Smith spoke with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show and opened up about a tabloid story from December in which it was reported they were seen out at a gay club with Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and snorting poppers, Just Jared points out.

A few months ago, the British tabloid The Mirror reported that Smith and Scherzinger were seen dancing at the popular gay club Freedom in London's Soho district where Smith was allegedly passing poppers around.

Of course, Cohen wanted some info about the wild story and Smith, who appeared via video chat, was happy to oblige, admitting to the crazy night out and saying "I can completely confirm, I love poppers!

"I love poppers. I've been ashamed to say that, but I have so much fun when I do poppers. I'm not trying to endorse it," Smith continued. "I know they're not good for you. I mean, booze isn't good for you as well, right?"

The "Stay with Me" singer also talked about Scherzinger during their night out.

"I think Nicole has definitely gone out to a fair amount of gay bars in her life. We've been out a few times in London," Smith told Cohen. "But yeah, we were just out that one time. I honestly didn't think anyone could see us. Yeah, we just got a bit rowdy and a bit...it was fabulous."

Last week, Smith teamed up with Demi Lovato for their new single "I'm Ready." Before that, Smith announced they were postponing the release of their new album and plans to change its name "To Die For" and perhaps even record new music for it.
