Watch: Katy Perry Releases New Song, Video 'Never Really Over'

After announcing that she'd be returning with music earlier this week, Katy Perry made good on her promise Friday, sharing a new song "Never Really Over" and its accompanying music video.

The new song marks Perry's first solo song since she released a handful of singles off her 2017 album "Witness," including "Swish Swish" and "Chained to the Rhythm."

"All of our relationships - from first love, through failed love, to great love - all become a part of you, so that none are ever really over, and once you accept both the dark and the light, you may find that the darkness brought you to the light," Perry said of "Never Really Over."

The track was produced by Zedd and Dreamlab and is the lead single off her forthcoming album.
