Watch: Ellen Freaks Out Sarah Paulson with... Clowns

On the new season of "American Horror Story," subtitled "Cult," Sarah Paulson's character is a woman spiraling into madness as her fear of clowns takes over her life. So it's only fitting that Ellen DeGeneres, a huge fan of pranking guests, scare the crap out of the actress by sending in the clowns.

In a clip from the Tuesday episode of "The Ellen Show," the daytime talkshow host set up a secret camera inside Paulson's dressing room where Ellen hid in the closet and popped out, scaring the "AHS" star.

But the pranks didn't stop there.

As the two women discuss the scare, a man dressed up as a demon sneaks up behind Paulson and scares her again. And if that wasn't enough, a clown hiding in a box popped up shortly thereafter, scaring the actress again, sending Paulson to hide under the table.
