Watch: 'American Horror Story: 1984' Gets First Official Trailer
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
After a number of teasers, the first official trailer for "American Horror Story: 1984" has arrived.
As the title and previously clips have suggested, the ninth season of the FX anthology series is an homage to 80s teen slasher films like "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Friday the 13th." The clip features a number of the cast include previous "AHS" stars Cody Fern, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman and John Carroll Lynch. Newcomers include openly gay Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy, "Glee" actor Matthew Morrison, "Pose" star Angelica Ross, as well as DeRon Horton and Zach Villa.
The trailer follows the group of sexy and queer young people who crash the summer camp, Camp Redwood, where Fern's character works. On their way there, the crew apparently run over someone (that's after Fern reveals that local authorities are on the hunt for an escaped lunatic). Indeed, someone named "Mr. Jingles" escaped a nearby institution and that's when all hell breaks loose.
"AHS: 1984" comes to FX on Sept. 18. Check out the trailer below.
