A preliminary hearing was held for Lance Corey Farber, the partner - or possibly ex-partner - of San Francisco's openly gay planning director, who faces felony charges stemming from a February 22 incident in which he allegedly set fire to a bed in the city's historic fire chief's house, where the couple was residing.

As recently as 2006, Willis pleaded no contest to charges stemming from a Daly City arrest for possessing cocaine and carrying a loaded firearm. Season to taste: SF Symphony announces 2008-09 season
