Lead Anti-Gay Activist: 'Obama Might Be Gay'

The chairman of a popular anti-gay organization recently said he believes that President Obama is gay after he came out in support for gay marriage and that homosexuals rape children, RightWingWatch.com reported.

Paul Cameron, 72, who runs the Family Research Institute (an organization that does research on "issues that threaten the traditional family", including homosexuality and AIDS) made the statements in an interview with Jim Schneider of "Cross Talk" and suggested Obama has had sex with men.

He also said that "the long term goal of the homosexual movement is to get every little boy to grab his ankles and every little girl to give it a try," and that children might be "forced to at least once experience homosexual acts."

"And actually, while I'm not sure about the claims by the various people who have reported that Obama has at least participated at times with them in homosexual acts, this certainly lends some credence," Cameron said.

When Cameron appeared on "The David Pakman Show" he said that "societies in which homosexuality get a fair degree of prominence -- for instance, Afghanistan; for instance, Pakistan -- you have an enormous.... Incorporation of children into homosexuality," He went on to say that if gays are "accepted by society it will normalize a culture of pederasty in the U.S.," International Business Times points out.

The anti-gay psychologist also said that individuals can chose their sexual orientation as he has done himself. He said that he was raped by a man when he was 3 years old and had homosexual desires until he reached adolescence.

"As you're probably aware, I was seduced, or raped, as a child... I was raped homosexually," Cameron said. "Had that continued, I don't know where I would have ended up," Cameron said. "I do know that the culture, which was directed toward heterosexuality, overcame whatever feelings I had -- and I had some, that I acquired as a 3-year-old -- and by the time I was 9 or 10, I was thoroughly interested in girls."

Cameron was asked if he was gay but he said that "gay is a political term" and he is no longer interested in "homosexual relations."

Cameron established the Family Research Institute (previously known as the Institute for the Scientific Investigation of Sexuality) in 1982 and has been bent on campaigning against gay rights for more than two decades. In 1983, the American Psychological Association discredited Cameron for non-cooperation with an ethics investigation.
