Botched Homemade Sex Change: NY Man Tries to Cut Own Penis Off

A man from eastern Long Island, New York, allegedly attempted to cut his penis off in a community service office Wednesday in order to give himself a sex change, Riverhead Local reports.

Police responded to the Maryhaven community center in Riverhead, Long Island, New York, Wednesday around 8:30 a.m. and found a man, holding a pair of scissors, inside the building "standing up with a self-inflicted cut to his penis," according to a police report.

The man's identity has not been revealed, but according to the police report he is described as only a white male - no age or place of residence was reported.

According to the staff at Griffing Hardware, the man came by the store to buy scissors and said he didn't need a bag or receipt. Not long after he left the store, the staff saw police and an ambulance across the street at Maryhaven.

The man was sent to Peconic Bay Medical Center.

The incident comes not long after rapper Andre Johnson, who performs under the moniker Christ Bearer, made headlines for serving his penis and jumping off a second-story balcony in an alleged suicide attempt while on drugs.
