Neon Future I

Bless the loyalist and enlightened who continue to drive the hard edge of EDM into a medium beyond the fate that befell the "Techno" music generation. It's taken really skilled agents and producers who have a rather divine musicality to deliver some truly moving electronic dance music symphonies. This accomplishment artistry that only a few producers in the industry can manage.

EDM producer/DJ Steve Aoki is relentless on his latest offering. The compilation "Neon Future I" is an evolved blend of electro-bass, digital drives, vocal manipulations and a narrative that is both engaging and hopeful. The producer has masterfully gathered some of the most eclectic artists to participate on the 10-track opus, including Fall Out Boy, will.i.am, and Afrojack.

"Back to Earth," featuring Fall Out Boy, benefits from the deep vocals of band front man Patrick Stump. The track propels forward with an incredible dedication to a pure EDM bass-drive that is supplanted with some elaborate riffs of near "rock God" proportions, all the while committing to a very pure dance floor aesthetic that makes for a wildly entertaining romp. With will.i.am guesting on "Born to Get Wild", Aoki and the Black Eyed Peas brainchild deliver a joyously moving dance floor anthem.

Dance music lately has been borrowing from its earlier incarnations, and on the track "Delirious" Aoki gives the West Coast major props with a fast-paced club-thumper that benefits from a '90s Bass-House sound, giving "Neon Future I" one of its most outstanding compositions and rightfully leading up to the relentless "Afroki." The collaboration between Aoki and Afrojack is completely spellbinding and is sure to fire-up the arenas of world-wide music festivals.
