Harry Styles Erotic Fan Fiction to be Turned into a Movie

It's a good day for fans of One Direction who take things a little too far!

It's also a good day for Anna Todd, the 25-year-old author of an erotic Harry Styles fan fiction called "After," which has earned over a billion one reads. E! Online reports that Paramount Pictures just bought the screen rights to the book, akin to "Fifty Shades of Grey" (except about the 20-year-old singer), and producers Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are involved.

Todd, a huge fan of 1D (duh), used Styles as her muse to create the "novel" but all members of the band, from Liam Payne to Zayn Malik (and the other ones) make appearances in "After."

"I was reading fan fiction on Wattpad, but they were taking a little bit to update the stories, so I started writing my own stories to entertain myself. I didn't think anyone would read it," Todd told E! of how the book came to be. Wattpad is a writing community where users can post articles, stories, fan fiction and poems.

"Tessa is a girl in college. It's not me, but I've realized we have certain things in common," she said. "The male lead in the story just looks like Harry Styles, but he is in college not in a band. All of the 1D boys are in the story. Liam [Payne] is Harry's stepbrother in the book. In the book Harry is Hardin, Louis [Tomlinson] is Logan, Liam is Landan, Niall [Horan] is Nate and Zayn [Malik] is Zedd."

Todd says "After" is a "coming-of-age-story," and calls Harry a "Brooding, grumpy, rude guy who doesn't have many friends. He is just a jerk in the beginning. It's a love-hate thing between Harry and Tessa. They hate each other in the beginning and they fight and then they fall in love. She breaks down all of his walls. It's a very dramatic turn on. They are back and forth and up and down."

Todd tells E! that, "there are definitely sex scenes. I mean, I was writing it for myself... There are adult scenes in the story. There is no S&M. They are regular sex scenes, but very detailed. It's the vanilla version of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'!"

The author said she would "love" if Styles stared in the film adaption of "After" but even she "can't imagine him getting into that kind of role." So, she's settled on actor Douglas Booth and wants Indiana Evans to play Tessa. (Maybe Taylor Swift is available.)

"After," which somehow has 2,500-pages, is only the first of four books in the series, which will include "After We Collided," "After We Fell" and "After Every Happy."

According to Rolling Stone, "After" hits shelves this week but you can purchase the book online. The magazine also points out Harry's name will be changed to Hardin Scott and the other volumes in the series are expected to be released in November, December and February.

The New York Times reports 1D fans are not happy with Todd's fan fiction as many have attacked the author on social media, accusing her of profiting off the band's success.
