Reno 911 - The Complete Series

"Reno 911!" is an amazing series that blends improv, sketch, and did the whole documentary style before it became oversaturated. Featuring alums from "The State" and some of the most major comedic actors in Hollywood today, this series is not only timeless but a must-have.
"Reno 911!" follows the inept, irreverent, and incomparable crew of the Reno Police Department. With a perfect blend of "Cops" and "The State," this comedy in a who's who of the comedy future. Wendi McLendon-Covey and Niecy Nash are huge stars now. Guest stars include everyone from Nick Swardson and Patton Oswalt to Paul Rudd and Paul Reubens. Everyone is a familiar face, and not just because certain actors play multiple roles. The series is smart and utterly hilarious while touching on some dumb and common humor and some well-crafted wordplay.
The bonus features for the entire series is pretty robust. There are deleted scenes, extended sketches, and most of the seasons are uncensored without the bleeps you'd expect from Comedy Central. Most of the nudity, sadly, is blurred out. (But in some cases, that may be for the best.) Luckily, all the jokes are in their entirety with all the wild fun you'd expect from the Comedy Central series.
The series set seems to be a collection of the series in one lightweight box. It's great to have them all in one convenient location, and the box is pretty cool in design if not a slight bit flimsy. Sadly lacking is the film, "Reno 911! Miami." And yet, the complete series includes a disc-shaped piece of paper with the show's title. Apparently, it seems they may have intended to include the film, but for some reason did not.
"Reno 911!" is a genius series. This series set is affordable and convenient and is like a time capsule of some of the best comedic actors in Hollywood. Despite a few disappointments with the lack of reunion footage, set exclusives, or the movie, it can be forgiven in the case of this outrageously entertaining series.
