'Survivor' Couple Josh & Reed Engaged

Gay cast members of "Survivor: San Juan del Sur," also known as "Survivor: Blood vs. Water II," Josh Canfield and Reed Kelly didn't take home the $1 million prize on season 29 of the long-lasting CBS reality show, but the couple announced some bigger news Wednesday: they're engaged!

Kelly, 31, took to social media Wednesday night to share the good news.

"And then he proposed!! In front of EVERYONE at @54Below! #shocked #thrilled #THRILLED #broadwayboyfriends now #broadwayfiancs??!#what?!" he wrote on an Instagram caption.

According to Wetpaint.com, Canfield, 32, proposed to Kelly while performing Broadway hits at 54 Below in New York City....which is pretty much perfect as the couple are Broadway actors.

On "Survivor," Canfield and Kelly played the game separately and together, though Canfield was the seventh player to be voted and the first member of the jury. Kelly made it to eighth place and was the fourth member of the jury.

One of the more interesting story lines on "Survivor: San Juan del Sur" was that Canfield and Kelly revealed that were abstaining from sex until they tie the knot. After the tribes merged, the couple was thrilled to be playing with each other and Canfield explained how Kelly helped his life by giving him the courage to come out to his family, who are conservative Christians (Canfield's father is a pastor).

When asked how it will be playing with a loved one on "Survivor," Canfield said: "I'm so excited that I get to play with Reed! This will be a memory that we will share for life. Having someone to go through this with who can help you find strength when you really need it will be invaluable in this game. I'll be stronger having Reed by my side...it also helps that he's great to look at as well."
