Vice President Joe Biden gave a shout out to his "old butt buddy" during a speech while visiting Iowa this week, the New York Post reports.
"Neal Smith, an old butt buddy. Are you here, Neal? Neal, I miss you, man. I miss you," the veep said during his talk in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Post reports Smith is a 94-year-old former Iowa congressman who became friends with Biden when he was a Senator.
As Fox News reports, the VP's trip to Iowa sparked some conversation of a possible run for the 2016 presidential election "despite having little campaign infrastructure in place."
Fox also reports that some believe Biden's verbal blunder was a result of him simply stumbling over his words.
According to Urban Dictionary, "butt buddies," are "Two very close friends that spend a lot of time together, and are rarely seen apart from each other." Another definition states: "A slang usage to define two gay guys having anal sex with each other."
