Ricky Martin :: Putting It Down

JC Alvarez READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Already 2015 is shaping up to be a masterful year for international music sensation Ricky Martin. His Spanish language album "A Quien Quiera Escuchar" translated it means "To Whomever Wants to Listen" is proving a chart hit for the Maestro of Melody, who has announced plans to once again hit the road on a North American adventure, which Martin has entitled his "One World Tour." In the meantime, he's wasted no time keeping the dance devoted living la vida loca!.

His latest dance single comes in the form of a collaboration with Mister Worldwide himself, popular rap artist Pitbull is featured on the just released "Mr. Put It Down." A funk-happy, disco-laden diddy that fans won't find on the Spanish-language full-length release, but is the first track from an upcoming English-language project that proves Martin is still very much in tune with shaking his 'bon bon', though fans have plenty to groove to in the meantime.

Ricky Martin whisked through the end of winter promoting his current album project and preparing fans for the energy he'll be unleashing while on tour with live appearances in major markets across the country. Martin was in Miami, Puerto Rico and New York City performing the songs "Adis" and "Disparo al Corazn" --the first already a high-energy hit ready for the dance floor. Martin has always been true to his Latin roots and authentically released albums in his native Spanish language.

The decision to mark the beginning of 2015 with a Spanish language album and then tease his followers with English dance tracks, may strategically prove much more profitable for Martin. His last effort, the album "Msica + Alma + Sexo" suffered some bilingual efforts that may have isolated or confused his two fan bases. This time out, the Latin hip-shaker is showing no signs of slowing down -- in the studio recording two albums simultaneously, releasing and marketing them separately and launching a tour to dazzle them all!

Ricky Martin continues to "put it down" and it's going to be a ride keeping up with him in 2015. His new single "Mr. Put It Down" is available now for digital download and tickets for his One World Tour are already selling out. Goto www.rickymartinmusic.com to keep pace.
