Jason St. Amand READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Scott Eastwood is one of the hunkiest actors in Hollywood at the moment and the 29-year-old son of Clint Eastwood made fawning over him even better: in a recent interview, he revealed that he supports same-sex marriage and loves his gay fans.
When speaking with PrideSource this week, Eastwood praised his growing gay fan base.
"I love it," he told the publication in an interview published Tuesday. "I don't discriminate against any fans. Fans are fans, and gay men are great."
Eastwood, who stars in the upcoming romantic drama based off a Nicholas Sparks novel "The Longest Ride," went on to say:
"I support gay marriage and the whole bit. I think everybody should be able to be with who they want to be with. My dad is the same way. He's a total Libertarian - everyone leave everyone alone. Everyone live their own private life. And why does everyone gotta be all up in arms about it?"
Clint Eastwood has long supported Republican candidates for presidential elections, including Richard Nixon in his 1968 and 1972 campaigns. The actor and director made headlines in 2012 at the Republican National Convention when he talked to an empty chair as if President Barack Obama were sitting in it.
Nevertheless, Clint Eastwood, 84, has voiced his support for same-sex marriage, and as said he is "liberal on civil rights."
"I don't give a fuck about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not?!" he said. "I'd give the same fucking quote - that's perfect. I'm a firm believer that everyone's human. We're only on this planet for a short period of time, and we should all just be as kind as we can to other people because, in life, all you really have is how you affect people, in a negative way or a positive way."
In other Scott Eastwood news, it was recently reported by People magazine that he will appear in the upcoming super villain film "Suicide Squad" but his role is still under wraps.
