Male Model Math Teacher Says He Feels Objectified by Women After Photos Go Viral

The so-called "hottest math teacher in the world" is taking issue with his newly found fame, claiming women have inappropriately touched him since sexy photos of him went viral. He also says he is unhappy that most of the attention he's received is focused on his looks and not his academic accomplishments, the Daily Mail reports.

Pietro Boselli broke the Internet last month when a student at the University College London realized his super hot math teacher also happens to be a male model.

After learning about Boselli's other job, student Arief Azli posted pictures of his 26-year-old teacher in class next to his modeling photos.

"That moment when you realised your maths lecturer is one of the top designer model," he wrote on Facebook.

The photo sparked an online frenzy and in the following weeks, Boselli, who has a Ph.D in mechanical engineering, received a lot of attention and gained lots of new fans.

But it appears that the model isn't all that happy with the new fame and wrote about it for U.K. magazine, Grazia.

Boselli, who is originally from Brescia, Italy, claims he knows how "Game of Thrones" actor Kit Harington feels when he says he's been "objectified" by women. Harington recently said, "To always be put on a pedestal as a hunk is slightly demeaning...in the same way as it is for women," the Daily Mail notes.

The teacher said since he's gained some stardom, women have grabbed his butt, which made him feel uncomfortable.

"If a guy did to a girl some of the things I've been subjected too, everyone would agree how out of line they were - yet it's often accepted the other way around," he wrote.

Though he has been modeling since he was six, Boselli said he tried to keep his modeling career on the down-low from his coworkers at the University College London, worrying they would "look down on him."

In an interview with the British newspaper the Times earlier this month, he said he was trying to establish himself as a legitimate math teacher and did not want to include his work for Abercrombie and Fitch and other companies on his resume.

"'I think, in a way, I was ashamed," he said.

He said another downside to his new fame is he has to be careful around his male friends some "just want to hang out with me as they think I'll attract the best-looking girls. It's made me defensive because I have to prove my personality."

Boselli is a self-described fitness fanatic and was initially worried about his students finding out about his modeling life. But now that the cat is out of the bag, he's not worried about them seeing him half naked.

"People ask me 'why are you topless in pictures? Why don't you have any clothes on?' But training is a big part of my life," he said. "I started going to the gym when I moved to London and, like everything I do, I'm very focused. I train once or twice a day and I'm happy to get recognition for having a good physique."

The Daily Mail notes that Boselli hopes the money he gets from modeling will help him create his own engineering company in London.

Boselli was awarded the Undergraduate Faculty Excellence Scholarship for the most outstanding academic achievement in his first year at the University College London.

His new fame also hasn't deterred him from posting smoking hot pictures on his Instagram account, which currently has almost 520,000 followers.
