Fran Drescher Says She & Gay Ex-Hubby Had 'A Lot of Sex'

On Tuesday night, a crowd largely made up of gay men got some great first-hand dish from Fran Drescher, when the 57-year-old actress revealed that during her 21 year marriage to a gay man they actually had "a lot of sex."

Speaking to an audience at the Stonewall Community Foundation Vision Awards in New York City, where she was honored for her advocacy, Drescher said, "I have a gay art dealer, a gay dermatologist -- not to mention my hairdresser. I have a gay ex-husband!

"People always say to me [of her ex], 'How did you not know?' He loves decorating and fashion and clothes, but we actually did have sex a lot," "The Nanny" star continued. "I didn't know at the time, though, that in his mind he was fucking the bartender at Olive Garden."

While many women in the same situation may be justifiably bitter, Drescher seems un-flapped. Her gay ex, Peter Marc Jacobson, who created "The Nanny" came out after the couple split. She now refers to him as her "best friend." Ever the yenta, Drescher even tried to help him find love on "The Millionaire Matchmaker."

As for rebounding, Drescher is married to a scientist Shiva Ayyadurai who she calls a "wonderful sophisticated straight man who loves taking off my clothes, that PETA picks out for me."
