Rapper Who Cut Off His Own Penis Explains It All

Remember Andre "Christ Bearer" Johnson? Probably not.

He was the sorta Wu-Tang-affiliated rapper (the Wu-Tang clan have distanced themselves from him, however) who got really high and cut his penis off before jumping off his second-story balcony in North Hollywood last year.

He explained why he did what he did not long after the time of the incident and told TMZ at the time he was upset because he was unable to see his two daughters due to a restraining orders the morning Johnson cut off his Johnson. Johnson said he was smoking pot and reading a book about monks and vasectomies the night of the incident.

But in a new interview (via Gawker) with VladTV, which was posted on YouTube with the title "Christ Bearer Talks Being 'Proud' of Cutting Off His Shaft," Johnson explained the root of the incident.

"PCP and meth and molly and alcohol, and no sleep. That was the main thing: no sleep," the musician said.

He reiterated that he was upset that the women of his children, or as he calls them "groupie-ass bitches," filed the restraining orders and blocked his phone. He also mentioned he got high at the apartment of a famous friend but he wouldn't name names.

"Did you cut your penis off?" VladTV asked him.

"You know, I did. I fucked up, my nigga, in a lot of ways."

Johnson said Wu-Tang producer RZA visited the apartment the night of the incident but didn't get high. As Gawker notes, RZA has never mentioned about being in the apartment and the Wu-Tang have only tried to distance themselves from Johnson.

When Johnson spoke with TMZ last year, he said his penis was back on his body and in working order. But when speaking to VladTV recently, the rapper was humming a different tune.

"It's not a myth, the black man do-we hangin', so I'm still able to work with what I'm able to work with, and get it down," Johnson said. "The reattachment shit is all mythological."

He added: "I'm the only man ever did what the fuck I did, and I'm proud of it. Why? In the annals of history, I don't think you got anybody who ever did it. That was a flooper, we all done woke up from a flooper. Maybe not a flooper as big as me."

"How I jumped was just so heroic. I supermaned out that motherfucker," he added.

It doesn't appear Johnson commented on his standup stint. In October 2014, it was reported Johnson was poking fun of himself, making jokes about cutting his penis off in a standup bit.

"One time I heard voices," he told a quiet audience during his set. "The voices told me, 'Cut your dick off.' I said, 'What?!' 'You heard me, cut your dick off."

Though there was very little laughter, he continued: "So I did."

"Folks, I don't care how high you get, once you chop off your penis, you're still broke," Johnson said. "So, I just jumped out the window. Fuck it."

He then said he woke up wanting the authorities to find his missing penis.

"You can't be black, broke and no dick! That's like being white with bad credit, right?"

There was only nervous chuckling.
