Caitlyn Jenner's much-hyped E! docu-series "I Am Cait" debuted on July 26 with 2.73 million viewers tuning in. But the show's ratings took a massive nosedive for the second episode, which aired Sunday.

"The Road Trip: Part 1" earned just 1.29 million viewers, which is about a 53% drop from the show's premiere episode "Meeting Cait."

The Hollywood Reporter notes E! still hasn't included DVR views in last week's ratings total. The first episode earned 3.9 million viewers with its first round of DVR views and 7.7 million viewers when including encores and DVR views. The website also reports though "I Am Cait" is bringing in young viewers, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" has never had such low ratings.

Critics gave "I Am Cait" mixed reviews. While many lauded the show and Jenner for bringing light to transgender issues, specifically trans youth, critics labeled the program boring. Vulture's Margaret Lyons called "I Am Cait" "incredibly well produced" but later added it's "awfully tepid. Boring even."
