iZombie - The Complete First Season

Poor Liv. Looking to add a little spice to her life, Olivia "Liv" Moore - super-star medical resident about to marry her prince charming - attends a wild party that gets rudely interrupted by some out-of-control rampaging zombies. The general public assumes its a frat party gone bad, so when Liv "reanimates" no one is none the wiser. Except for her new paled complexion and her appetite for brains, Liv goes on with her (after) life.

Based on the popular graphic novel series, iZombie - The Complete First Season the original series launched on The CW added a particularly new taste and texture to the midseason television landscape, which, although dominated by comic book superheroes and variations of the walking dead, appeared to breathe new life into primetime and made everyone take notice of the show's star Rose McIver.

There's plenty of humor, romantic angst and adventure in this rather macabre premise that actually makes "iZombie" must-see TV beyond just for the genre-fan. In order to survive, Liv must eat brains and takes up a job with the local coroner's office, but becomes an asset to the local police when she learns that if she eats enough brains she actually gains the memories of murder victims and can help track the murderers of unfortunate victims.

Adding a little hot sauce (and Raman noodles) helps make all the difference, but can even Liv piece back together a life that's worth living in the looming dawn of the zombie apocalypse? How exactly did this unfortunate incident change Liv into who she is today? With the help of her workmate Ravi Chakrabarti and her ally in the police force Clive Babineaux, Liv is dead set on living without fear, and, hopefully, resuscitating her love life.

All 13 Season One episodes are packed onto this 3-disc DVD, set along with some truly delicious special features, including deleted scenes expanding on the story of primetime's newest most lovable undead star.
