PopUps: So, the Dude Who Voiced 'Hey Arnold!' Grew Up to Be a Hot Lumbersexual

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

Shortly after it was reported Nickelodeon execs are planing to revive the classic '90s cartoon "Hey Arnold!" in the form of a TV movie, the Internet broke after finding the voice actor who was behind the titular character. That's because he grew up to be a major hunk. And no, he doesn't have a football shaped head.

BuzzFeed first "discovered" Lane Toran, after he took to Instagram and revealed he voiced Arnold for the classic cartoon's first season.

"I know I don't talk about 'Hey Arnold' on here so some of you that have been following me for a while might not know, but I did voice 'Arnold' for all of season 1 (until my voice changed)," he wrote. "It's crazy to be a part of something that's still talked about and watched 20 years later."

Season 1 of "Hey Arnold!," which aired in 1996, had 41 glorious episodes. After that, Phillip Van Dyke took over the role, Entertainment Weekly reports. According to Toran's IMDb page, he is an actor and composer who also voiced character in Disney's "Recess" movies as well as "Rocket Power," another hit Nickelodeon show.

The new "Hey Arnold!" movie will air on The Splat network, which airs vintage Nickelodeon shows since it launched on Halloween, EW reports. The film will tie up a lot of loose ends and unanswered questions, like what happened to Arnold's parents.
