Death of Gay Porn Star Dimitri Kane Ruled as Suicide

It was reported last week that gay porn performer Dimitri Kane had died at age 20. There were conflicting reports of the cause of his death at the time, but an autopsy confirmed Kane took his own life, according to Queerty.

Kane, who was from New Jersey's Jersey Shore, died on Nov. 22. South Florida Gay News reports his friends and family were shocked, and he was reported to be happy the day before he died. Kane, whose real name is Constanti Moraitis, was allegedly living at the Banyan Treatment Center in Pompano Beach, Fla., for drug addiction.

When Kane's death was first reported on Nov. 25, a source told Str8UpGayPorn (extremely NSFW) he took his own life, but another said he died of an accidental drug overdose. The gay porn blog also reported Kane's family knew about his adult film career and was supportive.

Kane performed for a number of studies over the last two years, including ManRoyale, Pride Studios, NewDoorStudios and Men.com.
