The insurance company released a new ad this week featuring two gay men reflecting back on 2015 as they became first-time parents.
Danny and Andrew said they didn't know they were going to be fathers at this time last year, but things changed in February when their daughter was born.
"Within our lifetime, we have gotten married and had a child," Danny said in the clip, which was posted to Allstate's YouTube account on Dec. 6. "Twenty years ago, that wouldn't have happened. So my hope is that she does not face the same obstacles that we did. But I'm not wishing her no obstacles, just ones that will make her equally as strong."
The announcer then says, "Here's to firsts. Allstate is here to help protect your firsts and every moment in between."
This isn't Allstate's first inclusive ad campaign, the Huffington Post reports. For Pride Month last year, the company launched its #OutHoldingHands campaign, which featured music by out singer-songwriter Eli Lieb. The ad had Lieb's song "Safe in My Hands" while an animated character experienced bullying from peers for having an oversized hand - a metaphor for homosexuality.
Allstate's latest commercial has over 113,000 views and a number of supportive comments.
"What a lovely commercial," on YouTube user wrote.
"So proud to say I work fro a company that values equality," another said.
