Update: Death of Gay Porn Actor King B Ruled an Accident
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
More information regarding the death of gay porn actor Mehran Chestnut, who performed under the name King B, has been revealed by LGBT Atlanta-based newspaper Project Q.
Fulton County Medical Examiner ruled that Chestnut's death an accident, caused by intentionally inhaling a cleaning solvent and suffering acute chloroethane toxicity, according to the publication. Project Q also writes Chestnut "had a history of huffing solvent and ingested enough Black Max to be toxic and cause 'a violent accidental death,' according to an autopsy report obtained by Project Q Atlanta."
It was reported earlier this year that Chestnut, 25, died on Sept. 4 and was found dead and naked in a Hyatt Atlanta hotel in Midtown Atlanta. According to Project Q, Chestnut arrived at the hotel with a man he met on the gay hookup app Jack'd. The men fell asleep around 12:30 a.m. and when the man woke up, he tried to wake up Chestnut before calling police, an incident report from the Atlanta Police Department says.
The man told cops he didn't see Chestnut huffing and it was reported there were no signs of struggle in the room or trauma to Chestnut's body. Police did not treat his death as a homicide.
A day after his death, a Facebook message on his account read: "Mehran passed away 9/4/15. He will be cremated. No public service will be held. We will miss him. From his family"
Chestnut was featured in several gay porn scenes for porn studios like Next Door Ebony and Raging Stallion. He was also known for his role in the reality show "That Life: Atlanta." Producer George Smith posted a tribute video in Chestnut's honor, which can be viewed below.
