PopUps: Gay Fitness Model Shows Off Butt in NSFW 'Formation' Parody

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Out fitness model Bryan Hawn has been making parodies of big pop songs for some time now, but his take on Beyonce's "Formation" has the Internet in a buzz.

After tackling One Direction, Sam Smith, Adele, Justin Bieber Sia and others, Hawn decided to parody Queen Bey, recreating her music video for "Formation," which some have considered an anthem for the Black Lives Matter movement.

In the clip, which was posted on Feb. 24, Hawn shows off his bubble butt, works out on what appears to be a glacier, lip syncs in the shower (wearing a thong) and dons a cop hat and a speedo.

In an interview with Gay Star News, Hawn explains he shot the video in two days across "three or four locations," including in Lake Michigan and in Chicago.

"The videos are fitness parodies. They are imitation for comic affect meant to make people laugh or feel sexy, or inspire their fitness goals," the model told Gay Star News.

Though Hawn's parody earned more than 160,000 views since being posted last week, the response has been mixed.

When the story was posted on the celebrity gossip/news site Oh No They Didn't a number of its users expressed their ire with Hawn's parody.

When speaking to Gay Star News, the model explained the typical type of response he gets from people reacting to his videos.

"The most common response I get for my parody videos is people inquiring about my workouts, especially my glute routine," he said. "This has led to the creation of my book, 'The List.' It has the three best exercises for a perfect ass - including one I invented myself."
