Darwinism in Action: Gun Nut Mom Gets Shot in the Back by Toddler While Driving

A Florida second amendment advocate who last month posted a meme on social media that said "My right to protect my child with my gun trumps your fear of my gun," might have done well to instilled some fear in herself about firearms and toddlers. On Tuesday, her four-year-old son found her .45 caliber handgun in the backseat of the truck and shot her with it. Daily Mail UK reports.

Barely one day after posting "Even my 4 year old gets jacked up to target shoot with the .22" on her Facebook page, Jamie Gilt found out just how jacked up her son gets with hand guns. While driving to pick up a horse, Gilt's son found a loaded .45 in the backseat of her truck, pointed at mommy and pulled the trigger.

Gilt is moderator of the Facebook page "Jamie Gilt for Gun Sense."

Gilt may face criminal charges if the State Attorney General's office determines there was negligence on how the child got a hold of the hand gun.
