PopUps: Madonna Exposes Teen's Breasts on Stage, Teen Doesn't Care
READ TIME: 3 MIN.
While performing in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Thursday, Madonna invited a 17-year-old fan on stage and then yanked her top down, exposing the girl's breasts, according to the Daily Mail. But like any cool teen, she doesn't care.
The newspaper identifies the fan as Josephine Georgiou, a model, who says she doesn't consider the incident "a big deal." She said that she feels people are trying to make Madonna out as a villain.
"There was no bad intentions, it was just love and fun up there," Georgiou told the Daily Mail Australia. "Mum has been playing her (Madonna) since I was little, I idolized her in the 'Hung Up' video clip."
When speaking with the Courier Mail, Georgiou said: "Only I get to decide if I'm humiliated or not -- why would people assume I am humiliated by my own breast, nipple or body? I didn't realize my boob was such a big deal -- it was nothing to me."
She added that she suffered a wardrobe malfunction and the reason why she looked "surprised" was because she was standing next to the Queen of Pop.
Georgiou said she swapped tickets at the concert and told The Project she was asked to get on stage with Madonna and was told she would dance with Madonna, who would also spank her before walking down the runway together and giving the audience the finger.
When asked about how she felt about her breasts being exposed, Georgiou reiterated her feelings, saying, "It was so nothing. It was just a funny little slip-up, that was it. If anything it was a bonding moment with Madonna."
"It was so nothing to me. And then like this morning at work, my phone was blowing up. I was like, what is happening? the model added. "It's ridiculous to me it's like, it's such a big deal right now."
Georgiou went on to say that the incident was an accident and explained exactly what happened.
"Yes, totally was, definitely was, I was wearing a leather corset, with nipple rings on it, she was holding onto the ring," the teen told The Project. "As she (Madonna) was talking, she was moving, it was tugged a bit but I didn't mind and then one was too much."
The Daily Mail reports when Georgiou was on stage, Madonna reportedly said: "She's the kind of girl that you just want to slap on the ass and pull..." The Material Girl then tore down the the teen's top.
"Oh shit, oh sorry, sexual harassment," Madonna said. "You can do the same to me if you like... you want to make my hole big again?" she continued, gesturing towards her nether regions.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson told the Daily Mail Australia officers would only investigate if there was a complaint from Georgiou, but that doesn't seem likely.
"I don't condone that sort of thing (the incident) but I'm saying that it was a unique situation," the teen's mother, Toni Georgiou, told the Daily Mail Australia. She added that Madonna didn't know her daughter was a minor because she looks older than a teen.
"It is quite serious that she's a minor -- people are saying what if this was a male performer, what if it was some else's daughter -- well it wasn't another man and it wasn't another girl it was Madonna and my daughter," she continued. "It's Josie's business, her unique experience and she wasn't upset about it. My daughter is a fierce feminist in the way I raised her. It's something that she'll probably cherish for the rest of her life."
