Retired Adult Male Actor Opens Up About Life as a Firefighter

A former gay porn star who retired from the adult film industry is now opening up about his life as a firefighter in a recent interview with the Scottish Sun.
Philipp Tanzer, 38, the inked up gay porn actor who made X-rated flicks under the name Logan McCree, told the newspaper and his co-workers in the town of Durness, Sutherland, where he works as a firefighter, about his past. Thankfully, no one has had a problem with Tanzer.
"Everyone in Durness has heard about it. But I really try and help in the community as much as I can and people are very grateful," he told the Sun. "They needed fresh blood and I was willing to help. They asked me if I wanted to join and I said 'Sure, why not?' especially since I'm my own boss. They asked the area manager and he said, 'Yes, it doesn't have an impact on his job'"
Tanzer, who made a number of gay porn flicks with Raging Stallion and other studios, won awards while working in the adult industry, including a Grabby and a GayVN award. The Sun reports the German native moved to Scotland's north coast four years ago where he lives with his two dogs. He joined the fire service in December 2015 and trained for two weeks in Glasgow.
Tanzer's coworker James Keith, 49, told the newspaper the town has welcomed the former porn star.
"I'm one of his work mates - but not in a film capacity obviously," he said. "We would all have preferred it if he was a female porn actress. But he is what he is. We asked him because he's a young fit bloke. We need young fit men or women. None of us have a problem with his past.
"I haven't seen any of his movies, but apparently he's very good. He's just Philipp. He's a damn fine guy," Keith added. "The money is negligible. Philipp didn't even realise you got paid. He was doing it as a community thing. He's not a bad stick."
Tanzer said he hopes to settle down with a woman, who understands his gay porn past, and start a family.
"I can only imagine to be in a relationship with a woman," he told the Sun. "I think you only feel at home in a place when you have family and I'm still working on that bit. It's difficult to find a woman up here."
He added: "If I need to be a firefighter to convince a woman I'm the right guy, then she's the wrong girl."
