The "Spring Breakers" star's upcoming film "King Cobra," inspired by true events about gay porn star Brent Corrigan and the murder of an adult film producer, is scheduled to debut at the Tribeca Film Festival Saturday. Alongside Franco, the film also features former Disney star Garrett Clayton, "Pretty Little Liars" star Keegan Allen, Christian Slater, Molly Ringwald and Alicia Silverstone.
A steamy teaser clip was released to Entertainment Weekly this week and shows Clayton as a young Sean Paul Lockhart (a.k.a. Corrigan) talking to his mother on the phone about his career in gay porn. Also in the clip is Slater, who plays producer Bryan Kocis.
IMDb's plot summery for "King Cobra," directed by Justin Kelly, reads:
This ripped-from-the-headlines drama covers the early rise of gay porn headliner Sean Paul Lockhart a.k.a. Brent Corrigan, before his falling out with the producer who made him famous. When Sean decides he'd be better off a free agent, a cash-strapped pair of rival producers aim to cash in by any means possible.
