BuzzFeed recently published a piece on the epic Netflix series "Sense8" and spoke to its star Jamie Clayton. In the article, the actress revealed that one of the Wachowski sisters has exited the show.

Clayton explained that Lilly Wachowski will no longer be part of the series, leaving Lana, who came out to the public transgender in 2012, as the lone director. Clayton, who plays Nomi on "Sense8," said Lilly left in order to "focus on her well-being" after she came out as transgender earlier this year.

"Lana is absolutely a superwoman. The way she channels her energy and her creativity ... it keeps me in absolute awe whenever I'm in her presence. She's an absolute force," Clayton told BuzzFeed.

Clayton, who is trans, also commented on actor Aml Ameen leaving "Sense8." There was talk that Ameen left the show because he may have expressed some sort of transphobia, according to Screen Crush.

"I knew the fans would be concerned, but I wanted them to know that we were OK. It's just a case of, creatively, two people having a really different idea of what they want to do. [...]," she told BuzzFeed. "[The Wachowskis] wanted to bring people in from the beginning who were going to honor the stories we were going to be telling, who would be respectful of the material, who wouldn't have any limitations as far as the material was concerned, who were happy, outgoing, fun, all-around positive people, because we would be a big traveling circus."

Ameen was replaced with actor Toby Onwemere.

Netflix renewed "Sense8" for a second season last year. There have been no announcements regarding the next installment of the sci-fi drama, but Screen Crush notes rumors that the show may come back with a Christmas special this year and follow that up with Season Two in early 2017.
