Report: Male Escorts Made Bank During RNC

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

As previously reported, there is something about the 2016 Republican National Convention, held in Cleveland, Ohio, that makes a lot of male attendees super horny for gay sex. (Even Donald Trump came close to a little same-sex action!). Craigslist Cleveland's male-seeking-male personal ads were flooded with dudes looking for "RNC Daddies."

A new report from the New York Post confirms that the RNC is the place to be if you're looking for a good time. The newspaper found a number of male escorts in the area have been raking in the big bucks thanks to several RNC attendees, many of whom are older married white men, seeking their service, to be serviced.

"Business has been way better. I've seen 10 clients so far," one male escort told the newspaper. "Most of them were first-timers. You could tell they were nervous, but once they became more comfortable, they seemed to be having a good time."

Another male prostitute told the Post they made $1,600 since Monday, which is six times their normal amount.

"I normally only make $200 to $300, but I've been seeing lots of guys in hotels downtown," he said, noting the GOP event, which is held at the Quicken Loans Arena.

One escort said most of the clientele are married white men between the ages of 40 and 50.

"One of them was from Texas and visiting for the convention. He said he was a politician," he said, adding he couldn't remember the client's name.

Another escort told the Post he wasn't surprised the RNC was bringing him a lot of business.

"When it comes to anything people aren't supposed to be doing, they like to do it," he told the newspaper. "The Republicans have a lot of delegates in the closet, let's put it that way."

But maybe those GOPers looking for a gay ole time will soon be able to feel like they can be out and proud if Donald Trump becomes president. Several members of the Republican party strongly oppose gay marriage and LGBTQ rights - though GOP presidential nominee Trump made GOP history Thursday night when he directly addressed, and said, "LGBT community" during his speech to the RNC.

"I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology," Trump said in the watershed moment.

Nevertheless, the Republican party platform is pretty clear with its stance on LGBTQ rights. Shockingly enough (not really), the Republican platform "has adopted what Christian conservatives cheered as the most conservative party platform ever, pushing the GOP decidedly to the right on abortion and gay rights amid uncertainty about Donald Trump's policies," the Associated Press wrote Tuesday.
