Gigi, 24, told TMZ an immigration official stopped her and allegedly said, "I was told you are transgender. You cannot come into the country."

Gigi rose to fame for being a makeup artist and documenting her transition on YouTube and changed her name to Gigi Loren in 2014. She said her passport has bene updated to reflect the change but the airport police reportedly claimed her photo presented her as a male.

The model said she is now "safe and happy" and on her way to "somewhere much more accepting."

TMZ writes the "imitation of women by men" is illegal in Dubai, which also bans homosexuality.
