Alexis Arquette's Ex-Lover Sells Sex Tape to xHamster, Porn Company Destroys All Copies

When was the last time you heard of any business spending five figures to prevent someone's memory from being tarnished?

The owners of porn mega website xHamster spent $25,000 on Monday for a sex tape of late transgender actress and activist Alexis Arquette. After ensuring that they had every copy of the tape, they destroyed the video on Tuesday.

According to The Daily Mail, which claims to have seen the video with Arquette "in a compromising position," in an attempt to cash-in fast on the "Pulp Fiction" star's death, an unnamed male former lover started hawking the video on Monday -- barely a day after her death from AIDS-related complications.

"Ms. Arquette was an icon and activist in the trans community and we could not see someone smear her memory the way the selling party was trying to do," Alex Hawkins, a spokesman for xHamster told The Daily Mail.

"We acquired the tape and subsequently destroyed all copies of it.We hope people will remember Ms. Arquette for the activist that she was and that her memory will continue to live on."
