Citing Trump's Win, 'HTGAWM' Star Comes Out as Straight

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

After remaining silent about his sexuality, Jack Falahee, who plays the openly gay law student Connor Walsh on the deliciously salacious ABC drama "How to Get Away with Murder," took to Twitter Tuesday to come out - as straight.

That Falahee plays a gay character on a TV show, who happens to have a large sexual appetite, has sparked a number of fans and press to ask him about his sexuality. As Vulture notes, Falahee has often stayed away from the topic and in his recent tweets, the actor notes that was because it was "an attempt to try and dismantle the closet."

In his tweets, Falahee said he was inspired to write his note due to the election of Donald Trump last week and that he was emotional for his gay friends. He also says that he wants to be more aware and help the LGBT community by donating to the ACLU, the Southern Poverty Law Center and other organizations. Check out his full message below.
