The Showtime Original Series that broke the mold returns! "Ray Donovan" Season Four starring the enigmatic Liev Schreiber is now available on DVD. The 4-disc set captures all the intense drama of this season's 12 episodes as Ray, Schreiber's Hollywood fixer, finds himself literally between a rock and a hard place. After a fiery Season 3 that ended with a startling revelation, Ray's road to redemption is paved with anything but good intentions.
The man that L.A. turns to make things right and especially help make certain bad things disappear finds himself at a crossroads, seeking some solace for himself and the family around him. Peace is a novelty not dealt out much in Ray's world, especially when he meets Hector Campos (played by Ismael Cruz Cordova), a professional boxer whose sister Marisol (new series regular Lisa Bonet) packs as powerful a punch as this new heavyweight.
Ray also finds himself strangely drawn to an art aficionado Sonia Kovitzky (Embeth Davidtz) who may - or may not - have something devious in the works as she sets her sights on "collecting" Ray for herself. All the while Mickey (Jon Voight, who continues to win accolades for his role as Ray's criminally misguided father) is keeping a low profile and dodging capture in Nevada as he plans to take advantage of a local casino owner.
This season of "Ray Donovan" also features guest star Hank Azaria, who earned an Emmy� for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his appearance on the show. Returning cast members who continue to impress are Paula Malcomson and Leland Orser.
The DVD is also loaded with special features that examine the show's lead characters in unique profiles that include current looks at Ray and Mickey Donovan. Behind-the-scenes looks at the series' locations and the "Female Strong" documentary featurette which analyzes the particular potent women in the world of "Ray Donovan" and their significant contribution to the success of this grippingly dynamic family drama.
