Nancy Sinatra Shades Trump Over Use of Frank's 'My Way' for Ball
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
After Donald Trump is sworn in as the 45th president of the United States Friday, the newly minted president will dance with his wife Melania Trump at the inaugural ball Friday night. It's been reported Frank Sinatra's signature song "My Way" will be the tune the couple dance to as official president and first lady.
Ol' Blue Eyes' daughter, Nancy Sinatra, doesn't seem too happy about the use of her father's hit, however. The "Bang Bang singer responded to a Twitter user who asked her how the Sinatra family feels about Trump using the song at the gala, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Here's the first line: "And now, the end is near."
"My Way" was written by Paul Anka, who was asked to perform the song at the event but declined due to scheduling conflicts, according to EW.
