Gay Porn Star Colby Keller Explains Why He Voted for Trump

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Last year, gay porn star Colby Keller caused an internet brouhaha when he revealed he was going to vote for then-GOP presidental candidate Donald Trump.

In a new piece from Mel Magazine, Keller is now opening up about his decision, saying he's not a Republican but believes "it's going to take someone like Donald Trump to get people to overthrow the system."

"I'm a little surprised he's as aggressive on 'the wall' as he said he would be," Keller said of Trump. "But I'm not surprised people like Trump and corporate America are going to the lengths they are in a system that's no longer defensible. They'll stop at nothing."

Keller told Mel people are now realizing the economical inequalities that he believes were underscored by the Obama administration.

"At least Trump is inspiring people to resist a really corrupt economic system that is fucking us all over," he told the magazine.

He went on to say that his distain for Hillary Clinton was part of the reason why he cast a vote for Trump in November.

"Hillary Clinton would have been four more years of Barack Obama, continuing all of the horrible neoliberal policies of the Bush administration and of her husband's policies that have bankrupted the American people and people around the world," Keller said.

Mel magazine writer Steven Blum writes an aside, saying Keller also accused Clinton "of treason against the United States for a supposed bribe she received from the Swedish technology firm Ericsson. The evidence for such a claim was dismissed by The Washington Post as 'nonexistent.'"

Keller goes on to say he identifies as a Communist.

"Things will get a lot worse and that will get us to a point where we need to be," he said, later adding, "Being a communist in 2017 means delivering better lives for people by collaborating. Competition and letting people who've controlled the earth for many years, who are evil and nasty, is not the way to get things done."

"The Democratic Party's diabolical politics don't serve the interests of the American people and that's why [Trump voters] acted out," he told Mel.
