PopUps: After Joining Instagram, Ryan Murphy Hints at New Shows

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

TV titan Ryan Murphy finally joined Instagram last week, and though he only has seven posts so far his account offers hints into his future projects, including "American Crime Story," "American Horror Story" and possibly "Feud."

In his first post, Murphy shared a pic of actors Darren Criss ("Glee") and Max Greenfield ("New Girl") on the set of "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story," which will come next year and after the Hurricane Katrina "ACS" season. Based on Maureen Orth's book "Vulgar Favors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianni Versace and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U.S. History," the upcoming season will explore the murder of gay fashion designer Gianni Versace, who was killed by serial killer Andrew Cunanan.

Criss has been cast as Cunanan but it's unclear who Greenfield will play. Edgar Ramirez will take on Versace with Penelope Cruz playing his sister Donatella Versace. Ricky Martin will also appear in the series, playing Gianni's partner Antonio D'Amico.

In another post, Murphy shared a tease for the yet unnamed "American Horror Story" Season 7, which will be about the 2016 presidential election. The showrunner posted artwork for the upcoming season, which looks like a sketch of a freaky elephant-man (a twisted take on the GOP, perhaps?).

More recently, Murphy posted a photo of himself with Glenn Close, backstage at "Sunset Boulevard." on Broadway. His caption for the pic suggests the two might collab on a future project (cross your fingers for Close to join the Murphyverse - hopefully for "Feud"!)

"One of my dreams is to work with this legend and I'm gonna make that dream come true," he wrote.
