Man Found Dead in Chicago Bathhouse
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
Party drug GHB is suspected as the cause of death of a 31-year-old man found dead in a Chicago bathhouse earlier this week. Police are currently conducting an investigation.
According to GayPopBuzz, cops responded to a call to the Steamworks Baths at 3246 North Halstead on Tuesday morning around 5 a.m. The man was transported to nearby Masonic Medical Center and pronounced dead.
The cause of death has not been officially determined but detectives are conducting a death investigation. Crime blog Crime in Wrigleyville and Boystown notes that a police source said evidence of GHB drug use was found.
This is the second time police have been to Steamworks to investigate a death this year. In January, a 36-year-old man was found dead in the bathhouse's jacuzzi and sauna area.
