Watch: Teaser for Upcoming Jeffrey Dahmer Film Released

A new teaser trailer for the upcoming Jeffrey Dahmer film starring Disney actor Ross Lynch debuted over the weekend, Entertainment Weekly reports.

In the clip for "My Friend Dahmer," Ross plays the nation's serial killer as an awkward high school teen. Directed by Marc Meyers and based on the graphic novels by Dahmer's real life acquaintance John "Derf" Backderf, the clip looks at Dahmer's dysfunctional personal life, his obsession with dead animals and anatomy.

Lynch opened up about playing the gay murderer earlier this year.

"It's so twisted and scary to read about the things he did. He was also surprisingly smart and charming," Lynch, 21, told Variety. "There are many interviews about him confessing about what was going through his head. It was cool to listen to how he spoke.

"He had somewhat of that Midwestern twang, almost like a Minnesota accent, but not really. I did a subtle version of it," he added.

"My Friend Dahmer" also stars Anne Heche, Dallas Roberts, Alex Wolff and Vincent Kartheiser. The film is scheduled to open this fall. Check out the trailer below.
