After Trump's Trans Military Ban, One Direction's Liam Payne Shows Solidarity

One Direction singer Liam Payne got political this week, taking a strong stance against President Donald Trump's ban on transgender people serving in the U.S. military.
The singer, who recently went solo with his single "Strip That Down," took to Instagram this week and stood with the LGBTQ community in a note, becoming the latest celeb to take issue with Trump's announcement.
"We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men and women are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness," the U.K. singer wrote, quoting Thomas Jefferson and adding the hashtag "#lgbtqrights."
