PopUps: Emma Roberts Returning to 'American Horror Story'

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

After skipping Season 6 of "American Horror Story: Roanoke," Emma Roberts will return to the FX anthology's upcoming season "AHS: Cult."

Showrunner and co-creator Ryan Murphy made the announcement by taking to Instagram and sharing a photo of the actress, writing, "Look who showed up on the set of 'Cult' looking glamorous and ready for action." Roberts posted the same exact photo on her Instagram with the caption: "I've joined #ahscult will you?"

The photo shows Roberts with dark-colored hair and wearing a trench coat. And she's also holding a large knife.

Though little is known about "AHS: Cult." other than it's inspired by the 2016 presidental election, the cast includes the series' regulars Sarah Paulson and Even Peters. In addition, Billie Lourd, who starred in Murphy's "Scream Queens" with Roberts, Billy Eichner and Colton Haynes will star. Lena Dunham is also involved with the season.

Murphy took to Instagram over the weekend to suggest how all the seasons of "AHS" are connected.

"AHS: Cult" will debut Sept. 5 on FX. Check out a teaser trailer below.
