Watch: 'Sense8' Director Thanks Fans for Support

"Sense8" co-creator and director Lana Wachowski is thanking fans of the LGBTQ-themed sci-fi series for their support after Netflix announced earlier this summer that it was canceling the program.

Earlier this year, Netflix said it was not renewing "Sense8" for a third season. Despite fan outrage and a popular petition, Netflix still said it wouldn't continue with the series. But the streaming giant shortly walked-back and Wachowski revealed Netflix green lit a two-hour special for next year.

In a new 15-minute clip, Wachowski and the "Sense8" cast and crew pour their hearts out, thanking fans for standing by the show.
